About

Y NAME is Éric DELÉCHELLE /eric døleʃɛl/. I was born in Ankara (Turkey) in 1966. After studying Applied Physics at the University of Paris Diderot (Paris 7), I received a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (DEA) from Université Paris 12 Val-de-Marne (UPVM) at Créteil, near Paris in 1995, and a PhD in Computer Science from the same university in 1997. My PhD thesis [ PhD1997 ] was entitled ”Analyse de scènes dynamiques : détection du mouvement fondée sur un modèle d'interaction électrique”. My Ph.D. advisor was Prof. Jacques Lemoine (UPVM), Patrick Bouthemy (INRIA-Rennes) and Michel Schmitt (École des Mines-Paris) are my PhD thesis referees. I was with the “Études Amont” group, Thomson-CSF/RCC1, France from 1993 to 1997.

In 1997, I joined the LERISS Laboratory – now LiSSi Lab.2 – at the University of Paris 12 Val-de-Marne UPVM3 first as ATER4 and then, in 1999, as Maître de Conférences (associate Professor). My research interests are in the general areas of signal and image processing. My research has mainly focused on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) based-approaches. In particular, I am interested in working on problems of an interdisciplinary nature as Human EEG analysis, or application of biospeckle phenomenon.
